Who are they? Thought-Wire is a tech social enterprise making a product called ‘nous’. Nous is a thought-controlled communication system for people who cannot talk or move because of physical disabilities. Where are they? Auckland, New Zealand What do they do? The ‘nous’ software works with a brain-sensing headband and a computer or mobile device. The headband registers brain activity. The software teaches the user to control their thought patterns and select options, such as yes or no, on a computer screen. Why we like them? Thought-Wired report that over 6 million people around the world cannot move or speak because of severe physical disabilities. This is an amazing solution. We love the combination of tech and social enterprise. We think ‘nous’ could ultimately work for everyone too. Nous is hoping to launch commercially in 2017 - good luck to Thought-Wired with the launch. We also love the founders vision of making the world accessible to everybody. I'm interested in this special thought-controlled communication system. It definitely fits for this generation's technological trend. I've never read or heard anyone try this before. It's really useful, especially for communicating with other people, without doing any form of action. I'll definitely look into the website link you've posted. Hopefully, their invention can shape a new innovation for the industry.
