Our director, Gareth Hart, recently spoke at the national Lithuanian social enterprise conference: Socialinis verslas. The summit was attended by the Lithuanian Minister for Agriculture and the Vice Minister for Social Affairs along with senior representatives of other government departments and from the social enterprise community. Invited by the British Council and Lithuanian partners NVO Avilys, Gareth spoke about building a social enterprise ecosystem, economy and movement in Plymouth and our work around creating the Social Enterprise City concept. Gareth said: “It was great to share information about our work in Plymouth and also to learn about social enterprise in Lithuania. You cannot build a social enterprise ecosystem without building a social enterprise movement. This requires partnerships and vision but also open and transparent leadership. I’m proud to represent our work and the effort of the wider Plymouth Social Enterprise Network to an international audience.” Watch Gareth's presentation below.
