We are delighted to announce, on Social Saturday, that the winner of our first annual Forerunner Prize is... CanAdvice.
CanAdvice is an interactive health system that supports cancer patients at home. CanAdvice allows patients to report side effects in real time and receive advice from their health care professionals. This in turn will help to reduce complications, the need for A&E visits and unscheduled hospital admissions. Huge congratulations go to the brilliant team behind CanAdvice - Shereen Nabhani-Gebara with colleagues Reem Kayyali and Nada Philip. Gareth Hart, Director of Iridescent Ideas CIC said “CanAdvice is a great idea and a well-deserved winner of our inaugural Forerunner Prize. We love the potential benefits and scale of this system and the impact it could have on the day-to-day lives and health management of cancer patients using it.” “The standard of applications of all six finalists was really high, and all of them are worthy of support and investment. We will follow the progress of the other finalists and we would like to wish them all the best of luck for the future.” We are delighted to be at the start of our journey with CanAdvice and will continue to report on the progress of this project, so watch this space.
