Helping prove the value of community ferries
This week Iridescent started working with Bristol Community Ferry Boats to help them create a social impact report demonstrating the great things they are doing.
Gareth Hart, Director of Iridescent Ideas, said: “Bristol Ferry Boats is a unique community enterprise and we are delighted to be working with them.
“In 2013 the business was re-launched by nearly 900 share-holders which shows how much the public value the ferry service in Bristol.
“We hope to help Bristol Ferry Boats show that they not only deliver a great service but that they make a difference to the community in other ways too.”
Katy Hallett, Board Member of Bristol Ferry Boats, said: “We are looking forward to working with Iridescent on our social impact report.
“We have plans to develop and it is great to be working with recognised experts on something we believe is really important for our future.”
The work falls under Iridescent’s ‘Prove it’ service which helps organizations show the difference they make. This demonstrates to funders, stakeholders and commissioners the importance of supporting the business and helps improve its work.
Bristol Ferry Boats is a Registered Community Benefit Society. It provides a regular service around Bristol and a range of educational and recreational cruises.
